Okapio was founded in 2013 by Shane Gray, a two-time exited entrepreneur with over a decade spent building, scaling, and selling technology companies. Okapio formalised something Shane had already been doing for years — backing ambitious founders with capital, and helping technology companies figure out how to grow without losing what made them work in the first place.

Based in Dublin, Okapio combines hands-on operating experience with board-level governance — serving as investor, advisor, and non-executive director to a portfolio of technology companies across sectors. The approach hasn't changed since 2013: get things done cost-effectively, and build relationships that outlast the deals.
